The Dangote refinery claims free fuel distribution would start soon and offers credit facilities to oil merchants.

In a notice on Friday, the organisation invited “petrol station owners and dealers” to register their outlets to benefit from the pricing offer.
“This offer is available to all petrol station owners and dealers nationwide. Our free direct delivery service will commence soon,” the refinery said.

Dangote's long-held claim that it can supply the whole Nigerian market and have excess for export to other countries was refuted by the NMDPRA assessment.Despite being essential to Nigeria's efforts to achieve energy security, the Dangote Refinery's contribution to the supply of gasoline still falls well short of expectations, according to NMDPRA data.
The refinery was supposed to supply 35 million liters of gasoline per day between October 2024 and October 2025, however it only averaged 18.03 million liters per day, or about 51.5% of that amount.
